Fishing

Moorfield House is perfectly placed for fishing the River Spey. Packed lunches can be arranged and a drying room and secure facility to lock up rods and equipment is available. Fishing permits are available in the village and hire of fishing equipment and clothing. There are both association and private beats available, on a daily or weekly basis. Certain stretches of the river are designated as Fly Fishing only and there is no fishing on a Sunday, even fish are entitled to a day off!

The River Spey offers some of the finest Salmon and Sea Trout fishing in Scotland. Fishing permits for the local association beats can be purchased from the Strathspey Estate at Grantown on Spey.
