Moorfield House Interior

Moorfield House offers all modern day amenities, tastefully integrated into the style of the Victorian period. The pitch pine woodwork in the hallway has been stripped of layers of paint to reveal its former splendour, the front door still retains its' original etched glass.

The resident’s lounge with rich red walls, gilt framed pictures, high ceilings and original fireplace is purposely free from a television set, thus allowing conversation to flow or a quiet spot to be found. Whether catching up on your reading or to just contemplate the days events, the comfortable sofas are just waiting to supply the perfect end to your busy day. Why not sample one of our many Speyside Malt whiskies, whilst perhaps, toasting your toes in front of the crackling open fire.

If organizing your next day's excursions, a good selection of maps, books and local visitor information are always available in the bookcase. We are happy to advise on local walks and beauty spots, so that you get the most from your stay in the area.

Some of our individually furnished bedrooms are named after particular tartans, these being the Moffat, Gunn, Ferguson, Lindsay, Stewart and Buchanan. Bold use of wall colours and fabrics all tastefully combine to create an air of comfort and luxury.

5 bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and one has a Bathroom, all have remote controlled colour television, clock/radio alarm, hairdryer and welcome tray. For those who find stairs a problem, we have a double bedroom on the ground floor.
